Polygonal North Oy at BSTF 2025: data, climate and regenerative tourism

This week we joined the Baltic Sea Tourism Forum in Gdańsk to expand networks for ProxyLab’s REDIRECT and to scan best practices for data-driven, climate-smart destinations. The Forum focused on regenerative and data-based tourism across the Baltic Sea Region, 1–2 October 2025. EUSBSR+1

Session highlights included: using destination data for real management value (D3HUB), real-time tourism data for policymaking (Estonia’s Ministry of Economic Affairs), and DEPLOYTOUR’s path toward the European Tourism Data Space. EUSBSR+2Deploytour+2

On climate-neutral destinations, cases from Finland, Norway and Denmark showcased certified approaches and city-level models for climate-smart tourism management. Interreg Baltic Sea Region

We closed with a strong message from the Global Destination Sustainability Movement: data must translate into impact and regenerative transformation. gds.earth

As Polygonal North Oy, a twin-skills and green solutions provider, we will channel these insights into practical pilots for REDIRECT and into new collaborations that bring robust digital tools to regenerative tourism across the region. Interreg Baltic Sea Region
